At the moment, Ilya Pomazun is one of the best goalkeepers in Russia, and is also included in the list of the 33 best football players of the Russian Championship 2022/2023. As part of the club CSKA became:
• Winner of the Russian Super Cup: 2018
• Champion of the Youth Championship of Russia: 2018/19.

PROFESSIONAL CLUB CAREER:

  • After first being included on PFC CSKA Moscow roster in March 2012 at the age of 15, Pomazun made his debut in the Russian Premier League for the club on 6 August 2017.
  • From 2012 to 2016, he played 89 matches for PFC CSKA U21 in the Russian Premier League and 12 matches in the Champions League U19. Since 2015, he has played 25 unofficial games for the main team. 
  • Since 2016, he’s been PFC CSKA’s second-choice goalkeeper and has played two games in the Russian Premier League (2017), 4 games in the Russian Cup (2017/2018, 2019/20), one game in Champions League against Roma (2018) and two games in the Russian Olimp-Cup (2019). 2017/18 – 2019/20 seasons, he played 14 matches.
  • On 5 August 2020, he extended his CSKA contract throughout the 2024–25 season and joined FC Ural Yekaterinburg on loan for the 2020–21 season. On 25 February 2021, his loan was cut short and Pomazun returned to CSKA.
  • On 9 June 2021, he extended his contract with CSKA until the end of the 2025–26 season and joined Ural on loan once again, for the 2021–22 season.
  • On 16 June 2022, Pomazun extended his CSKA contract until 2027 and returned to Ural on loan for the 2022–23 season.
  • On 3 July 2023, Pomazun extended his CSKA contract until 2028 and returned to Ural on his fourth loan.
  • Pomazun was called up to the Russia national football team for the first time in March 2023 for a training camp.

Interesting facts:
• Ilya began playing football at the age of five.
• His father, Alexander Pomazun, a goalkeeper, is a champion of the European U21 championship, holds a bronze medal of the World U21 Championship and played for Moscow Spartak.
• He worked with such coaches as Viacheslav Chanov and Sergei Ovchinnikov.
