Yuliya Efimova (born 3.04. 1992, Grozny, Russia)
Russian competitive swimmer

After making her Olympic debut in 2008, she went on to win the bronze medal in the 200 meters breaststroke in 2012, and silver medals in the 100 meters and 200 meters breaststroke in 2016 she is a seven-time European Champion, six-time World Champion, winning the 50 meters breaststroke (2009 and 2013), the 100 meters breaststroke (2015), and the 200 meters breaststroke (2013, 2017 and 2019). She is also a former world record holder in the 50 meters breaststroke.

Overall, Efimova now has three olympic medals, seventeen career world medals and ten european medals.

Julia is the record holder in the number of medals of the world Championships among all Russian swimmers.

Currently holds all the records of Russia in the women’s breaststroke.

In 2019, at the world Championships in Gwangju, Julia won the entire set of medals in breaststroke (200 m gold, 100 m silver and 50 m bronze).
