Sofia Nadyrshina is a Russian snowboarder. She is a world champion and silver medalist of the World Championship (2021), six-time world junior champion (2020, 2021), eight-time champion of Russia, Master of Sports of Russia, Master of Sports of Russia of international class, member of the Olympic team of the Russian Federation, participant of the Olympic Games in Beijing 2022.
At the age of 17, she became the youngest World Champion in Parallel Slalom.
Sofia was born in the Far East, in the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, and there she began snowboarding at the regional sports training center.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
- A high-profile debut on the international arena took place on January 26, 2019. The athlete performed at the European Cup in the Austrian ski resort “Lahtal”, immediately taking 2nd place in the PGS. The next day she won in the same discipline.
- She made her debut at the World Cup in December 2019 at the home stage in the ski resort “Bannoye».
- In January 2020, she became one of the winners of the World Cup for the first time, when she became the second in Scuola (Switzerland). There, a year later, she won the parallel giant slalom.
- At the World Junior Snowboarding Championships 2020 in Lachtal (Austria), she won three gold medals, winning in parallel and giant slalom, as well as in team competitions (paired with Dmitry Loginov).
- At the 2021 Freestyle and Snowboard World Championships in Rogla (Slovenia), she won silver in the PGS. The next day she became the world champion in PSL.
